Telefilm Canada relaunched the General Admission Stream of its Promotion Program, which funds small and emerging film festivals that are aimed at the general public. Applications will be accepted from January 16 to January 20, 2023. Read the press release.

Telefilm Canada relaunched the Re-Opening Fund — Open Access Stream of its Promotion Program, which offers access to the Reopening Fund to Canadian festivals that did not receive funding through the other streams of the Program. Applications will be accepted from January 30 to February 09, 2023. Read the press release

Telefilm Canada announced the dates for all three streams under the National Promotion Program for fiscal 2022-2023.

The General Admission Stream provides funding to small and?emerging Canadian film festivals.
- Applications for festivals between July 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023 will be accepted from April 25 to April 29.
- Applications for festivals between April 1, 2023 and September 30, 2023 will be accepted from January 16 to January 20, 2023.
The Limited Edition Stream is open to pre-approved film festivals and markets funded through the Promotion Program in fiscal 2020-2021.
- The guidelines will launch on March 31.
- Applications for festivals between September 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023 will be accepted from May 16 to June 23.
- Applications for festivals between April 1, 2023 and September 30, 2023 will be accepted between August 29 and October 7.
The Industry Initiatives Stream is open to pre-approved Canadian organizations that received funding through the Promotion Program in accordance with a funding agreement with Telefilm signed between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2022, for activities not covered by the other streams.
- The guidelines will launch on April 7.
- Applications for activities between September 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023 will be accepted from July 4 to August 12.
- Applications for activities between April 1, 2023 and September 30, 2023 will be accepted from October 17 to November 25.
