Pitching a film or television project is somewhat akin to a magic trick. Like most magic tricks, a pitch usually takes a relatively short time to deliver compared to the hours spent on conception, development and preparation.
This workshop for producers, writers and directors will take participants through the necessary stages of developing concepts for presentation in the marketplace, including:
• expanding an idea into a concept
• formulating a development plan
• researching and tailoring material
• designing and generating pitch package components
• presentation
This workshop will be led by David Barlow. David has written, produced, and story edited for Canadian TV series and television features that have received over 45 awards and nominations, including a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Dramatic Series and two Geminis for Best Comedy Series.
This workshop will be held at the Regina Soundstage
on Saturday, February 9th from 10am – 4:30pm.
